Holy @$#@$#$ crap, another storm

The idea of spending a month in warm(er) weather in another country is sounding so nice. I woke up this morning to the family dog staring at me (about an inch from my face) with the “let me out” look. So I got up at 5am to let him out to do his business and I open the door to a dumping of snow. This is insane, my Dad was shoveling snow for an hour, and it kept piling up. Finally he gave up, which is what I did when I woke up.
I love
my friends, simple statement that holds so much water, stock, etc….honestly. Because what is life without friends? I have to be honest; lately I’ve been thinking a lot about the people I know, and how they really keep me “up” when it comes to life. Since I’ve been on sabbatical, I have been acknowledging the fact that I am at a crossroads when it comes to life (and decisions). I am happy to have people in my life that will be with me no matter what. And to them, I toast my glass.

And I’m here
Now that I’ve come down from the high of loving my new laptop (see previous post), I’m coming to terms with a few things:
1) It’s going to be cold this month
2) There will be a lot of free time on my hands, so I need to be productive while also allowing myself to splurge on “life”
So I found myself in exactly that position this morning and day, so I “attempted” to import my itunes library to my new laptop which only resulted in frustration. I accidentally duplicated the whole library, so honestly, bigger is not better (ladies). I’m really anal when it comes to my itunes library, so I’m sitting here at the Greenhouse Effect coffee shop attempting to rectify this situation. I’m also enjoying a 3 shot Americano. This is a nice cafe, my first time here. I find myself going back and forth between my headphones/ipod and what they’re playing overheard. This s a GOOD problem to have, most of the time places like this just recreate the atmosphere at a a Chili’s. (you know, turn on Sirius radio and allow us to hear Whitesnake three times before we even get our main entree)

they have crepes!
